DXC Technology Collaborates with ACT Brumbies to Donate Laptops and Provide Cross-border Indigenous Support to Rea in New Zealand

DXC Technology is delighted to donate 10 refurbished laptops to Rea, an Aotearoa-based organisation, as part of DXC’s Digital Futures Program.

This marks the first donation of up to 40 technology devices that will be presented to Rea throughout 2023 to help students build their digital careers.

Rea is a digital platform that supercharges people around the world through education and connects them to well-paid, skilled employment. With a focus on creating talent for in-demand digital careers, Rea combines technical training with measurable soft skills development to ensure graduates are productive from Day 1.

DXC established its partnership with Rea through its Māori and Pacific Peoples Program, with the intention of collaborating on initiatives that create cultural, career and community impact.

Leveraging DXC’s eight-year partnership with the ACT Brumbies, DXC invited the rugby union team players to present the refurbished laptops to the students at Rea during the Super Rugby Pacific tournament currently taking place in Christchurch.

DXC is the Presenting Partner of the Brumbies National Indigenous Engagement Program and recognises the important role that sport plays as a vehicle to lead social change.

In the last two years, DXC has established several new programs as part of its Social Impact Practice, with the aim of improving societal outcomes and increasing diversity and inclusion through technology and innovation.

By connecting with its business partners across the Asia Pacific region with initiatives through the DXC Digital Futures Program, DXC First Nations Program and DXC Māori & Pacific Peoples Program, DXC is proud of the difference it is making to the communities in which we live and work.
